Ganduje, a former Kano State governor, emphasized that APC is committed to expanding its influence in the South East, starting with Anambra. “We have started working to develop strategies to win these states.
The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) said it aims to replicate its recent electoral “success” in Edo State in the upcoming governorship elections in Ondo and Anambra states.

The APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, revealed the party’s strategy on Monday in Abuja, during a celebration of Senator Monday Okpebholo’s victory, alongside members of the Edo State election situation room.

Ganduje, a former Kano State governor, emphasized that APC is committed to expanding its influence in the South East, starting with Anambra. “We have started working to develop strategies to win these states.

“Next year, Anambra State will follow,” he said.

He added that the party is focused on a project termed “political demarginalisation of South East geo-political zone.”
He further stated, “We already have 2, but 2 is too small for a big party like ours. We will face that state and see how we can recover many states in our favour.”

Meanwhile, North Central APC elders, led by former Senate President Ameh Ebute, expressed confidence in a 2027 electoral victory during a visit to Ganduje at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.

Ebute said, “We have no doubt in your ability to lead this party to a higher level.”

They congratulated Ganduje on his recent court victory, which dismissed a suit filed by the North Central APC Forum seeking to remove him from his chairmanship.

“We are happy that the suit seeking your sack as national chairman was struck out,” Ebute added.
