The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has launched an investigation into the “miracle water and soap” being sold at Christ Mercy Land Deliverance Ministries, led by Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin. NAFDAC has accused the church of using its name to mislead and deceive the public.
According to a statement signed by Director General, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, none of the products being advertised and sold by the church are registered with NAFDAC. The agency has received petitions from concerned citizens about the church’s claims of healing and miracle properties of the products.
Prophet Fufeyin had claimed that the “miracle soap” could heal barrenness and cause women to carry twins. He also claimed that the soap was registered with NAFDAC, which led to an influx of visitors to the agency’s office to confirm the claims.
NAFDAC has warned the public to be cautious of the church’s claims and has invited anyone with information about the products to come forward. The agency is working to verify the claims and take appropriate action.
