Newsband gathered that the man who brought the boy, pretended that he was a patient who wanted to see a doctor.

So, he reportedly joined the out-patients at the nurses bay who would first have to get their cards, have their temperatures, blood pressure, weight and others checked before they are referred to a doctor.

The man left the boy on the floor, informing the people around that he wanted to get something nearby but that was the last time he was seen.

The reverend sisters who run the hospital are now taking care of the boy.

This medium also gathered that during the day, the baby is usually brought out to the out-patients registration/nurses bay unit, which was the place where he was abandoned, with the hope that any of the out-patients might recognize him.

Meanwhile, the case of abandoned baby in the hospital has become the hottest topic of discussion among the hospital’s patients since last week Friday.

Many assume that the current economic condition in Nigeria forced the father to abandon his son.

St. Mary’s Catholic Hospital Gwagwalada, run by sister of the Handmaids of Our Lord Jesus, was declared open in January 2006 by the former American First Lady, Mrs Laura Bush, wife of the former American President. George W.B. Bush.
