President Tinubu to Embark on Historic Visit to China

President Bola Tinubu is set to travel to China in early September 2024 for a landmark visit aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and attracting foreign direct investment to Nigeria.

According to Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu will meet with Chinese Prime Minister Xi Jinping to discuss key bilateral matters.

A major highlight of the trip will be a meeting with the management of China’s construction giant, Chinese Rail Construction Company (CRCC), to finalize contract terms for the Ibadan to Abuja rail project.

The visit is also expected to yield significant benefits for Nigeria’s economy, with several Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) to be signed in areas such as agriculture, power, commerce, and communications.

This historic visit underscores President Tinubu’s commitment to driving economic growth and development in Nigeria through strategic international partnerships. Further details of the trip will be announced in due course.
