HE Atiku Abubakar penchant for appointing the wrong people as campaign aides remains his greatest undoing. During the 2023 electioneering, majority of his aides added ZERO value to the campaign other than to make money. To be fairer, they were liabilities that complicated his problems.
Why should Daniel Bwala stay loyal to Atiku when Atiku himself did not show loyalty to legacy PDP members stayed with the Party through thick and thin in terms of recognition and appointments? Is this how Bola Tinubu behaves?
How do one explain that Atiku Abubakar appointed a man that knows NO JACK about the PDP as his presidential campaign spokesman? Someone who joined the Party a week earlier?
A campaign spokesman is expected to understand the philosophy of the party, what the Party stands, its programs for Nigeria and marry these with the plans of the candidate. Daniel Bwala is not engrained in PDP, he doesn’t know PDP mainstream and spcial media influencers to work with. He simply did his part based on what he knows – the part unfortunately was not enough.
What do Bwala know about PDP? To Bwala, APC is home, he has to be home. I don’t blame him, neither do I fault his defection to APC. It is his right and his choice. I wish him well.
