Hon. Emma Egwu, a former lawmaker from Kogi State, has shared his thoughts on the upcoming gubernatorial election in his state, which will take place on November 11

In an interview with Channels TV, Hon. Emma Egwu stated that Murtala Ajaka, the candidate of the SDP, would not pose a significant challenge to the APC in the upcoming election. Egwu, who is from the Igala ethnic group, alleged that the APC has a strong structure in Kogi State, including in the Kogi East senatorial district, which is Ajaka’s hometown.

In Egwu’s words: “By my understanding and by my assessment I am from Kogi East, I am an Igala man and I know very well that the APC’s structure in Kogi East is sound. From the units to the wards to the Local Government Areas, APC has the structure which SDP does not have so statistically you will be able to determine what is on the ground”
