Re: Udo Okoye Should Obey his Sponsors and Leave Secondus Alone*
Ordinarily, the media office of the PDP Youth Directorate and the National Youth Leader, Comrade SKE Udeh-Okoye, do not respond to poorly crafted and halfbaked press releases like the one penned by Ike Abonyi, the media aide to the embattled National Chairman of the PDP, Prince Uche Secondus, but for the sake of putting things in focus, we will humour Ike Abonyi with a reply.
My brother, Ike Abonyi, is it not a sign of failure and poor leadership judgement on the part of your sponsor that he hired a media aide who simply couldn’t go on Google to find out how to correctly spell the name of the National Youth Leader of the PDP? Mind you, it is Udeh-Okoye, not ‘Udo Okoye.’
Ike, in your write-up, you wondered why it took the PDP National Youth Leader three and half years (sic) (this should have been correctly written as three and a half year) to realize that the national chairman is incompetent and corrupt. The truth is, discerning minds, the National Youth Leader inclusive, have always known that Prince Uche Secondus lacked the competence and moral character to lead an opposition party like the PDP.
The only reason why everyone kept quiet was because they were all trying not to wash the dirty linens of the party in the public space, but the rot have gotten so bad that every faithful member of the PDP can no longer stay mute while the national chairman destroys the party.
Almost every month, because of the incompetence of Prince Uche Secondus, the PDP loses a governor, senator, house of reps member or a member of state assembly to the ruling APC. It is for this reason, Ike, that the likes of the National Youth Leader can no longer keep quiet before it becomes too late to rescue our great party PDP from the avarice, ineptitude, and kleptomania of Prince Uche Secondus.
The unbridled greed of Prince Uche Secondus is so profound that as the national chairman of the main opposition party, he goes around begging and collecting contracts from both members of our party and the ruling party. Why should the national chairman of the PDP be in bed with the APC? Isn’t that a betrayal of the trust of party faithfuls and Nigerians that desire a strong and active opposition party?
Ike, while you and your sponsor keep deceiving yourselves that the party structure is intact, the PDP is almost sinking with Prince Uche Secondus at the helm of affairs. It is for this reason that the National Youth Leader, Comrade SKE Udeh-Okoye, as a lover of the PDP, is calling for the resignation of Prince Uche Secondus so as to save the party from collapse.
It has become obvious to keen observers of the polity that Prince Uche Secondus is being sponsored by some individuals from the opposition to destroy the PDP, but their plans will fail because with the likes of Comrade SKE Udeh-Okoye in the PDP NWC, such clandestine nefarious subterfuge will be strongly resisted and exposed. It is only a matter of time and the truth will be let out.
