The Allied People’s Movement, APM, governorship candidate, Arch Dauda Isah Utenwojo, CFPP, has endorsed Hon. Muritala Yakubu Ajaka, of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, ahead of the Kogi November 11th Governorship Election.
Arch Dauda Isah Utenwojo, while addressing his teaming supporters, says, “I must sincerely commend you all from the deepest part of my heart on how you all prioritized my decision to govern Kogi State; you took it as your projects, and you all marshall home the resolve with every sincerity. I’m eternally grateful”.
But today, I’m here to make known the inference of my several weeks of consultations and deliberations with critical stakeholders in Igala Kingdom and to offer a directive on the way forward. he said.
Justifying his decision, the APM governorship candidate was quoted as saying, “This is hitherto imperative as the need to reclaim power back to the Igala kingdom topples my personal ambition”.
I have considered many options heading towards the election. I also understand and underscore the need to champion a common ground to be able to combat Yahaya Bello’s led squad, as I believe having many of us from Igala land on the ballot is an interrupted victory for Yahaya Bello, who ought to be our common enemy. Arch Dauda continued.
On this belief, I have decided to sacrifice my governorship ambition on the altar of unity in the Igala kingdom by endorsing the candidacy of Alhaji Muritala Yakubu Ajaka of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, who, as of today, enjoys organic support across the state.
I hereby direct and appeal to my teaming supporters to adopt Hon. Muritala Yakubu Ajaka as their governorship candidate and work aggressively for him, just like they’ve demonstrated towards my earlier bid.
