Appointees of Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello are presently gnashing their teeth as the Governor is presently owing them three months salaries and arrears.
One of the appointees who spoke to our reporter in Lokoja but pleaded anonymity said the Muslim faithfuls among them are finding it very difficult to observe Ramadan obligation due to untold hardship.
She said the current situation will drastically reduce the chances of the APC in winning the November 2023 Gubernatorial Election in the state.
“What the governor should be seen doing right now is to lobby more camps to the APC and not to dismantle his structure on ground.
“By November he should have less than two months to leave and his dictatorial directives will not be adhered to any longer”, the appointee said.
According to our source, Governor Bello some weeks ago called for the collation of data of all his appointees.
She said according to his directives the collation was carried out immediately after the state House of Assembly election.
In her words, “what baffles the appointees is that, the governor should by now come out with his decision on the collation, rather than keeping us hungry and suffering without salary.
“The PDP is set and banking on Yahaya Bello’s sacking spree. This will be a plus to the opposition ahead of the November gubernatorial election,” she lamented.
Our source also hinted that some of the appointees are ready to work with aspirants of the opposition party in order to better their source of livelihood.
