Immoral Political Activities In Igala land Call For A Greater Concern.

The recent elections in the country has greatly exposed many things about our people in Kogi East, especially the political actors and stakeholders.

However, I will only speak about few things that have to do with lives, political future and moral norms that is gradually threatening our society in every election seasons.

It’s not a hidden fact that, few political players are endangering or wasting the precious lives of brilliant minds in our land for nothing rather than peanut or for temporary pleasure.

It’s now a norms in our land to easily recruits young brilliant minds into political miscreant popularly called “Thugs” to be terrorizing the populace during and after elections.

The most worrisome of all this, is the declining political fortune of our people using immoral and unethical means to subdued the popular wishes of our people by treachery, blackmailing, intimidating, killings and brazenly stealing ballot boxes. This isn’t politics but criminally! I was pained when our brother lifeless body was trending on social media on election day, it was reported that he snatched a ballot box and was gunned down by soldiers.

Moreover, it’s clear the so called victories and so called winners of the recent elections in Kogi East were manufactured and didn’t reflects the wishes of the people. Look at the other two senatorial districts, at least, other parties won including where the governor came from. A third force (ADC) won two Reps in Kogi West while PDP won Reps in Okehi.

This retrogression in Kogi East is unacceptable, undemocratic. It’s evil to imposed leaders on our land. I doubt if an Igala politicians would be able to win governor in Kogi state again, if urgent steps are not taken to stop this babaric criminals parading themselves as politicians in Kogi East.

Shame to the promoters of this immoral and unethical political activities in our land, they’ve reduce our people to nothing. This is a total disrespect to the Igala Nation.

I appeal to the Attah of Igala and other well-meaning Igala Intelligential to rise to the occasion and save the future of our land and our younger ones from this doom, imposed on us by the greedy, selfish murderer, parading themselves as political leader before it’s too late.

We must arrest the proliferation of firearms and gun running in our land. The resultant effects would be too weighty for us to handle in the future.

Let’s all protects our land!
