The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kogi state chapter, has called on residents to troop out enmass to welcome the party’s presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, who will be in the state on January 19 in continuation of his nationwide electioneering campaigns.

A statement signed by the party’s Director of Media and Communications, Comrade Dayo Onibiyo, stated that Atiku’s campaign rally scheduled to hold at the Confluence Stadium, Lokoja, will be historic.

The party called on all residents “who are not happy with the state of the nation from insecurity to hunger, high cost of living to incessant kidnappings, high exchange rate, multiple taxation, sky rocketing cost of petrol and its scarcity and other bad policies of the APC government since 2015 to come out and receive, as well as hear from its presidential candidates.”

“The nation’s incoming President and his Vice are anxious to meet with the wonderful people of Kogi state, hence the need to come meet them one-on-one.

“The importance of Kogi state cannot be undermined as it is a gate to many fortunes that can propel the nation to greater heights in the comity of nations. This particular visit will no doubt be historic.”

The party assured that adequate arrangements have been made to provide maximum security for all persons attending and for easy flow of traffic.

PDP asserted that the January 19 rally will herald the journey to rescue Nigeria.
