With Lagos Miserable With Flooding, No One Should Remotely Consider Voting Tinubu In 2023 – Sowore

The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore, has berated the presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, over the flood situation in Lagos State.

Tinubu was governor of Lagos State between 1999 and 2007. He had several times claimed he transformed the state with his blueprints.

On Monday, about nine yet-to-be-identified ladies were trapped when a storey building around Akinwunmi Street, Mende, in the Maryland area sunk due to torrential rainfall.

The torrential rainfall, which lasted for about four hours in the early hours of the day, flooded lots of communities in the state.

Sharing pictures from the incident, Sowore wrote, “23 years later after @officialABAT colonised Lagos with his boys, this is how Lagos looks like after 2 hours of rain. No sewage, no drainage, no plan. Lagos is dirty, Lagos is poor, Lagos is miserable place.”

He added, “Something is wrong with you if you remotely consider voting for Bola Tinubu in the next election.”
