No fewer than 300 violators of the presidential lockdown order have been arraigned and convicted by the various mobile courts in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The leader of the FCT lockdown enforcement team, Mr Attah Ikharo, disclosed to our correspondent on Tuesday that about 600 vehicles had also been impounded for breaching the directive.
He said, “What we do now is to simply hand over the violators to the courts for trial. About 300 violators have been convicted and fined for flouting the presidential directive. They were also ordered to do community service. We have also impounded about 600 vehicles since the inception of the lockdown.”
