Igalamela-Odolu local government chairmanship aspirant Hon Benjamin Egwu speaking in Lokoja, said Govenor Yahaya Bello second term in office in office will adopt a holistic approach to the development of the state.
Hon Egwu said the governor will make this possible by provide a friendly business environment and attract foreign and local investments to create more jobs and empower our people and this is possible as Yahaya Bello second term in office is ready to go into partnership with relevant national and international agencies and expertise to initiate and implement Marshall Plan for economic transformation and development to guide and accelerate the future development of the State.
He said: “The next four years are therefore pivotal as the governor is ready for consolidate on the progressive foundations of the last four years to take Kogi state through a greater era of achievements and progress because making Confluence State the greatest State in Nigeria is a task that must be accomplished.
The governor gave us assurance during campaign that he “We will continue on the economic trajectory of fiscal discipline, prudence, prioritisation of capital projects over recurrent and giving value for money spent in the delivery of services.”
“We know we are developing, but it’s better and more result-oriented if approached in an organised and strategic form.”
“Today the issue of salary has been addressed at the state level and now working hard to ensure the local level is sort out”
