2,578 delegates for Kogi PDP gov’ship primary

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said no fewer than 2,578 delegates are expected to participate in its governorship primary election scheduled to hold in Lokoja, the state capital, tomorrow. Publicity Secretary of the party in the state, Prince Bode Ogunmola, who confirmed the  story expressed PDP readiness for free and fair primaries
He said the party was certain of delivering “very credible, transparent and free” primary election. He expressed optimism that the winner of the primary would emerge the next governor of the state.  Those cleared by the party’s screening committee are former governor Idris Wada, Senator Dino Melaye, Erico Ameh, Aminu Suleiman, Grace Adejoh, Abubakar Ibrahim, Kabiru Haruna, Musa Wada, AVM Saliu Atawodi (rtd), Mohammed Adah, Dr Victor Adoji, Bayo Averehi and Emmanuel Omebije. Meanwhile, the national leadership of the PDP has named the governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Fintiri, as chairman of the five-member panel to conduct the party’s primary election in the state.
