Former Minister of Youths and Sports, Solomon Dalung, has issued a warning about the political tactics he believes will be employed by President Bola Tinubu’s administration leading up to 2027.

In an interview with Trust TV, Dalung expressed his belief that Tinubu’s government has no plans to truly develop Nigeria. He predicted that the administration would reduce the price of fuel to N500 per liter in an effort to win over the Nigerian people in the run-up to the 2027 elections.

According to Dalung, the administration’s goal is to manipulate the perception of the Nigerian populace, making them believe that they are witnessing a reformation in politics.

“I’m only making predictions based on past events. As we approach the middle of the year, I foresee the price of petrol being reduced by 50 percent to N500 per liter,” Dalung said. “This will be accompanied by a propaganda campaign to instill hope in the people that there is a brighter future ahead. They will attempt to portray themselves as ‘born-again’ politicians.”

Dalung cautioned Nigerians to be wary of these tactics and not be deceived by what he sees as a ploy to garner support for the 2027 elections. He urged the public to approach statements from the government with skepticism and remain vigilant against false promises.
