Be wary of disgruntled elements parading themselves as your supporters, Activist Yahaya Idris tells Minister Shuaib Audu

Yahaya Idris, a sociopolitical activist has cautious the Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaib Abubakar Audu to be wary of some individuals or groups who may pretend to be his supporters, advisers and associates but actually have ulterior motives and maybe hiding their true intentions against his main objective at detriment of Kogi people.

Idris, who is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Global Times Nigeria online news stated this on Saturday in Lokoja, Kogi State capital, said he has in the past worked closely with Prince Shuaib Abubakar Audu, the Grand Patron of the Shauib Abubakar Audu Foundation (SAAF) and now the Honourable Minister of Steel Development for years before his appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The sociopolitical activist expressed gratitude to God for sparing his life despite not being carried along by the Minister for whatever reason best known to him.

According to him, before his appointment as Federal cabinet Minister, he was generous and open to all, but wonder how things changed fast, immediately he was appointed.

The fearless activist lamented over saboteurs stagnating development and blocking people with genuine advice to meet the Minister

Idris, a student of Philosophy is expressing sadness or frustration about individuals or groups (saboteurs) who are intentionally hindering or blocking progress and development the Minister may be intending to offer the youths of Kogi State.

He therefore, called on the Minister for an end to these destructive activities and for collaboration and support to achieve his developmental goals.

When asked what could be the reason for his fallout with the Minister, Idris said some strange faces who were never part of the struggle have infiltrated into Minister system, adding that these elements will do everything to block those who started from the scratch to meet him.

Idris said he has never regretted ever supported or working for the Minister, but expressed concerned how the serving Minister go about insulting people who contributed to his success.

The young activist said he has followed the now Minister round Kogi State when his foundation was providing succour to the needs across the three senatorial districts.

These “disgruntled elements” might be seeking to gain power, influence, or attention by associating themselves with the Minister, they’re doing more harm them good to him.

He advised the Minister to be discerning and vigilant, to carefully evaluate the genuineness of those who claim to be their supporters. It’s a reminder that not everyone who appears to be on your side may actually have your best interests at heart.

“In politics, it’s essential to surround yourself with trusted advisors, loyal supporters, and genuine well-wishers.”

“This advice is a timely reminder to be mindful of potential pitfalls and to prioritize discretion when dealing with those who may be seeking to exploit the politician’s influence or position.”

He also warned those who may have approached the Minister to negotiate on his behalf to restraint, adding that his struggle was never a personal one rather for those the Minister abandoned after God elevated him.

Speaking further, he told the Minister to arrest any group or individuals who came to him with aim to negotiate with his name, saying he has never sat with anyone to talk about negotiation.

“I’m not a cheap person who will fight for my people and later sabotage the efforts of others for peanuts. I am calling on the Minister to be on alert as some scammers or group of faceless persons are planning to reach out to him on my behalf.”

Arrest anyone who come with my name for negotiation, if you want to do anything good for those who supported you in the past you may get them through the platform as they are still alive. He said.
