The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended Chief Dan Orbih, the National Vice Chairman (South South), over his actions and utterances regarding the Edo State Governorship Primary Election.
The NWC condemned Orbih’s behavior, which it deemed inconsistent with the PDP Constitution and his duties as a national officer. A six-member investigation committee, headed by Deputy National Chairman (South) Amb. Taofeek Arapaja, has been set up to probe the issue.
Orbih has been suspended from participating in NWC meetings, activities, and programs pending the conclusion of the investigation. The NWC expressed gratitude for the support of the people of Edo State, who are rallying behind the PDP and its candidate, Dr. Asue Ighodalo, in the September 21, 2024 Governorship election.
The NWC urged party leaders, stakeholders, and members in Edo State to remain united and focused, working towards the victory of the PDP and its candidate in the election.
