Netflix has sparked controversy with its latest drama, A Man In Full, after a scene featuring a fully erect penis aired without prior warning. The scene, which shows actor Tom Pelphrey revealing himself to co-star Jeff Daniels after taking Viagra, has broken a long-standing TV taboo. While Ofcom’s Broadcasting Code discourages UK broadcasters from showing such content, Netflix, with its European HQ in Amsterdam, is beyond the regulator’s reach.
