Renowned legal expert, Itse Sagay, has advised Governor Yahaya Bello to voluntarily submit himself to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to avoid potential embarrassment. Sagay emphasized the importance of Bello facing any accusations or investigations with dignity and respect, rather than attempting to evade the authorities.
Sagay highlighted that regardless of Bello’s actions, the EFCC will eventually uncover the truth. He urged Bello to surrender himself in a responsible manner to protect his image and reputation. By cooperating with the EFCC, Bello may have the opportunity to clear his name and defend himself against allegations of financial misappropriation and corruption totaling N80.2 billion.
