The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has confirmed that arrest of one Chinaza Phillip identified as a notorious kidnapper in Abuja.
OBSERVERSTIMES recall how Phillip was nabbed in Kaduna while on his way to Kano State alongside his accomplices and victim, on Thursday.
There was a heated gunfire exchange between Phillip’s men and the police, leading to the rescue of Segun Akinyemi, an Abuja resident, who was kidnapped just as he was driving out of his house, on Wednesday.
The kidnappers were taking Akinyemi from Abuja to Kano State when the police swooped on them, according to Police Public Relations Officer in Kaduna, ASP Mansir Hassan.
