The Nigeria COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (NG-CARES) emphasizes its dedication to improving the lives of vulnerable Nigerians, with a continued focus on achieving greater success.
The NG-CARES program aims to alleviate the impact of the COVID-19 crisis on the livelihoods of impoverished individuals, farmers, vulnerable households, communities, and owners of micro and small enterprises.
Dr. Abdulkarim Obaje, the National Coordinator of NG-CARES, shared this message with journalists in Abuja on Tuesday, stating that , “I anticipate that in the forthcoming year, our collective efforts, unwavering integrity, and passion for uplifting the underserved, poor, and vulnerable Nigerians will continue to rise, yielding even greater achievements.”
Reflecting on the successes of 2023, he acknowledged the NG-CARES family and commended the staff for their outstanding work in implementing the program.
“We started the year with some apprehension, but through two rounds of IVA, restructuring, and a mid-term review of NG-CARES, we now find ourselves reflecting on the incredible journey shared throughout 2023,” he added.
Expressing gratitude and extending warm wishes, he recognized the dedication of the NG-CARES team, particularly the staff of the delivery partners (DPs), for their exceptional work.
“Having recorded over 3 million direct beneficiaries across Nigeria, NG-CARES is well-positioned to further assist those in need of development intervention, leveraging the delivery systems of states and FCT.”
