It was Martin Luther King Jr. who, before his assassination in 1968, said, “We must accept finite disappointment but never lose infinite hope.” It’s been almost five decades. But it’s the emergence and acceptability of Hon. Muritala Yakubu Ajaka, the Governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, that technically validates the statement.

Against impossible odds, he dazzled to stamp his authority in the face of threats, intimidation, and name-calling. Cardinally pegged his unstoppable nature, unsettling the ruling party in the state with the love and passion shown by his people.

In a land in search of progress comes a resilient fighter, an unstoppable lover of humanity, and a daring philanthropist.

In him, the downtrodden find solace. In his message of hope lies the remedy to the plight of civil servants who have been impoverished by an acclaimed Lion.

Like a religion, his ambition saturates every nook and cranny of Kogi State. An attestation to his waxing popularity among his people.

Like Tsutomu Yamaguchi, who survived an atomic bomb explosion only to return to work the following week, he maneuvered the countless obstacles thrown at his resolve, cementing his place in the hearts of millions of Kogi State residents.

His quest to liberate Kogi is a perfect idea whose time has come. He remains resolute, determined, and ready to demonstrate his unstoppable nature to salvage his people.
