The entire fifteen ward secretaries of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ijumu local government area of Kogi state has endorsed the governorship aspiration of Senator Dino Melaye.
Arising from a meeting in Iyara on Monday, the Forum of Ward Party Secretaries declared their total support for Melaye and promised to work for his emergence as PDP candidate in the forthcoming governorship primary election.
The forum chairman, Hon Yodson Dayo, commended the party scribes for their commitment to PDP and promised to join hands with all other stakeholders in the party to make the dream a reality.
The secretaries’ forum equally thanked the Lokoja LGA chapter of PDP for the solidarity rally held in support of Senator Melaye.
The secretary of the Forum, Akinlabi Tope, appealed to all leaders of the party beyond Kogi West district to lend their support to Melaye in the forthcoming primary and present him as the party flag bearer.
“We plead with those who are spreading false information against our God-chosen Senator Dino Melaye to desist because it will not do any good to the party,” he said.
