Contrary to false claims that 5 PDP Governors namely: Samuel Ortom of Benue State, Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Okezie Ikeazu of Abia State and the host Enugu State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi met today to endorse a presidential candidate other than Atiku Abubakar of PDP, below is the true position of things;
The Rivers State Governor His Excellency Nyesom Wike and his colleagues Seyi Makinde, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Okezie Ikpeazu and Samuel Ortom on Sunday met and resolved to continue working with the party.
According to reports available to City-post, the group stated during the meeting that; “one cannot work hard to build a house only to turn around and destroy it out of anger. The report further stated that they agreed that the national chairman of the party Sen Iyorchia Ayu will visit and apologize to them so as to calm frayed nerves and move on.
By this arrangement, the party is now better positioned to win massively in the 2023 general elections
