2023:” My youthful Energy & New Ideas Will Stand Me Out” – Okai Reassures As He Meets Dekina PDP Delegates

 

Dekina/Bassa Federal House of Representative Aspirant of Kogi state on the platform of the leading Opposition Party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Comr. Usman Okai Austin has reassured his constituents of effective representation if given the mandate come 2023 general election.

Okai made the pledge at the weekend in his declaration speech during a meeting with the PDP delegates of Dekina/Bassa federal Constituency, held at Ologba, in Dekina local government.

According to the lawmaker hopeful, “I will hold quarterly town hall meetings to ensure popular views and needs of communities are documented and a follow up to ensure positive action”.

Addressing Journalists after a declaration meeting with delegates , Okai expressed his gratitude to the party stakeholders for their encouragement and support, noting that ‘Putting People First’ will continue to be his watch word.

The House of Representative Hopeful who hails from the Emewe Opada in Emewe ward of the Dekina local government council area stated that if given the opportunity to serve, he will passionately represent the interest of the good people of Dekina/Bassa federal constituency adding that “he would not let them down.”

Usman Okai Austin said, his mission “is to give a formidable representation for the good people of Dekina/Bassa federal constituency at the National Assembly with a view to attracting developmental projects and promoting youth empowerment, reducing crime and guaranteeing adequate human and capital development in the constituency’.

Okai tasked the delegates to think of general election and the candidate with credentials of attracting development into the constituency.

He spoke further, “If I get the seat, we will do great exploits. People will see radical changes in the constituency”.

“I will bring my youthful energy and new ideas to turn things around for the good of everyone. It won’t be business as usual I assure you,” Okai stated.
