by

All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain Senator Abu Ibrahim yesterday said that next year’s presidential election will be North’s pay back time for the standard bearer, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

He said the region will vote for the former Lagos State governor in appreciation of his positive dispositions to previous flag bearer from the North.

Also, Kwara State Governor AbdulRahaman AbdulRazaq said Tinubu’s records of achievements and capacity to build a formidable team qualified him to be next president.

Ibrahim spoke in Katsina, capital of Katsina State, when he visited the APC Governorship Campaign office.

He recalled how Tinubu supported the PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, when he contested under the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and how he also supported President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015 and 2019.

Ibrahim said it is now the turn of the North to reciprocate the gesture by supporting Tinubu in 2023.

He said the APC candidate loves the North, adding that, when elected, Tinubu will surely promote the interest of the North.

Ibrahim said Tinubu would replicate the wonderful work he did in Lagos if given the mandate.

He added: “I also urge the people of Katsina state to vote for the APC gubernatorial candidate of the state, Dr. Dikko Umar Radda’.

Dikko is an intelligent young man that would move the state forward when elected as governor of the state”.

Ibrahim said he has relocated to Katsina to spearhead reconciliation and promote the candidature of Tinubu and Dikko.

He disclosed that he is currently going round the state to campaign for the APC candidates.

Radda thanked Abu Ibrahim for his fatherly guidance. He assured that as the strong pillar of Tinubu campaign, he will not be disappointed during the election.

The governor said Tinubu achieved so much to place Lagos on a sound footing, adding that he will employ same template to consolidate on the gains of the past years and break new great grounds to transform the country.

He said: “When you are to select candidates for a political party or president for Nigeria, what people should look out for are track records of candidates, what they have been able to do in previous offices or the goodwill they will bring to that office.”

He commended Yasin for his consistent love and support for the APC administration in Kwara, recalling that the union leader made an impact during the pre-2019 campaigns.

AbdulRazaq lauded Tinubu for the developmental projects that cut across Ikotun-Egbe, Badagry, Alimosho and other parts of Lagos State.
