BREAKING: INEC to hold ‘extraordinary’ meeting on Saturday over 2023 elections

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will hold an “extraordinary meeting” on Saturday to decide on the timetable for the 2023 elections.

The impromptu meeting comes in the wake of the signing of the electoral act amendment bill into law by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Festus Okoye, INEC commissioner and chairman, information and voter education, says the commission will issue a statement on the way forward after its meeting.
