Moses Daddy-Ajala Simon was born in Jos to the family of a retired soldier, Simon Otene Ijegwa of Obagaji in Agatu LGA of Benue State in July 12, 1992.
He is a product of the famed GBS Academy, the same football academy in Nigeria that produced the likes of Ahmed Musa.
His parents got married in the year 1963.
Before the birth of Moses, his father had 8 girls, making Moses the 9th child of the ex-serviceman.
According to his father, when his wife was pregnant, he had a dream and a man told that his wife was carrying a male child.
He was in doubt, but the man insisted that he should watch and see, eventually, the baby was delivered and it was a boy, hence the name, Moses.
The 25-year-old made national headline sometime this year for funding the construction of roads and drainages in Obagaji, Agatu, his hometown after previously solving the perennial water scarcity problem in the community by constructing boreholes last year.
It was even reported that to ease the pressure on the boreholes, Moses Simon dug many wells in the community so as to make sure that there are enough means of getting water by the people.
During trying times like flood periods, the perennial militia herdsmen attacks on the community, and yuletides, Simon always rise up to his self-saddled responsibility of providing relief materials worth millions of naira to the community. Not to mention those indigenes he awarded educational scholarships, and those he paid for their medical bills. It was even speculated that Moses Simon is already planning to build a world class hospital for the community.
It is in recognition of these and many other of his benevolence, that the Agatu people unanimously agreed to name one of the major streets in Obagaji, the local government headquarters, after him.
