Amidst uncertainty, group open more campaign offices for Tinubu ahead of 2023

The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has received some vital boost as he seeks to become the next President come 2023.

Tinubu’s presidential ambition has been struck with uncertainty following Buhari’s decision to not influence party decisions in favor of Tinubu who is believed to have struck a deal with Buhari prior to his (Buhari’s) victory in 2015, to become his successor.

“You cannot sit there in Lagos, for instance, and decide the fate of APC on zoning. Therefore we should allow the party to decide,” Buhari said during an interview with Arise Television back in June 10, 2021. Buhari is believed to be referring to Tinubu with his statement.

However despite Buhari’s statement and other factors such as internal disagreement within the APC, not to mention age and health issues, Tinubu is not giving up, neither his supporters who believe Tinubu is the right man for the job.

A political group identified as Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (ABAT), has declared support for Tinubu in a statement by the group’s Director General, Otunba Olufemi Soluade, who addressed reporters in Lagos.

Soluade urged Nigerians, to forget tribe or religion, and support Tinubu’s push for the presidency in 2023 for the social, political and economic development of the country.

He said the group has ABAT campaign offices in various countries including the United States of America, the United Arab Emirates, Spain, France, Germany, Russia, Italy, South Africa, Ghana, Canada, Australia, India, China and Saudi Arabia among others.

“Tinubu stands out as one politician with the best résumé to consolidate on the next level milestones of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.

“We looked around for such personality with the political clout and national appeal to the various interest groups that can consolidate on whatever achievements the Buhari government has made,’ he said

Also speaking, the apex chairman of the ABAT Movement, Cardinal James Odunbamku said Asiwaju Tinubu is the best man for the job.

“As a bridge-builder with a great personality and mentality that recognises all and sundry, there cannot be a better replacement for President Buhari come 2023.

“The choice of Tinubú as the country’s next president was painstakingly taken, after taking several yardsticks into consideration.”
