The United Nations Economic and Social Council sent a congratulatory message to her matronDr Mrs Gloria Ebibomo Diri on her 50th birthday.
The UNESC in a statement signed by H.E. Amb. Dr. Blessing Gozi-Anyaokei UN ECOSOC SCS SDC-UNESC NIGERIA FULL CHAIRMAN in a statement on Saturday has congratulated UNESC Matron Dr Mrs Gloria Ebibomo Diri i, Wife of Bayelsa State Governor , on the occasion of her 50th birthday.
Dr Blessing commended Mrs Gloria Diri contributions to the promotion of quality health care and girl child education, opening homes for Bayelsa state senior citizens etc.
She said through her collaborations with her colleagues globally, Mrs. Diri’s had advocated for girl-child education, healthcare improvement, tackling gender-based violence and advocating for women rights.
“As the mother of the state , you have done so much to impact the lives of the vulnerable and less-privileged persons in our society through your compassionate programmes – especially as the Life Matron for Ethanrose Foundation – the foundation held a breast cancer awareness trek and free test for women at the Peace Park, Yenagoa, the state capital, with a call on women to observe regular checks.
Her ExcellencyDr Mrs Gloria Ebibomo Diri had mobilised resources to take care of street children, the elderly and the homeless, describing it as a noble cause.
She further prayed for good health, divine protection and wisdom for the first lady in her support for the Governor to serve the people of the state and the country better.
Happy birthday to a woman of substance, the mother of Bayelsa state and a humanitarian per excellence.
