Israeli airstrikes bring down multi-story tower in Gaza as fighting escalates

An Israeli airstrike destroyed a multi-storey building in Gaza City on Wednesday, AFP reporters said, as the Jewish state continued its heavy bombardment of the Palestinian enclave.

The Al-Sharouk tower, which housed the bureau of the Al-Aqsa television channel, is the third tall structure levelled by Israeli fire since the bombing campaign began on Monday.
