People’s Democratic Party PDP former National legal adviser during the Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi led caretaker committee, Barrister Kabir Usman was turbaned as Matawallen Jakadan Sokoto.
In an elaborate ceremony that started from the palace of Sultan Abubakar Mohammed Sa’ad 111,the legal icon was selected along with 12 others to assist the new Jakadan Sokoto and former Kogi Governor,Alhaji Ibrahim Idris in the council.
Barrister Kabir Usman,a former Chairman Board, Federal Polytechnic Idah was turbaned at a reception held for the new Jakadan Sokoto at Grand Ibro Hotel in Sokoto.
The legal luminary is expected to bring to bear his wealth of experience to the developement of the Sultanate and Sokoto caliphate.
As the first Matawallen Jakadan Sokoto, Barrister Kabir Usman will play a prominent role in the developement of the new council.
Responding, Barrister Kabir Usman thanked the new Jakadan Sokoto,promisimg to contribute his qouta to the developement and improvement of the council and the Sultanate.
