This year’s commemoration of the Birthday of the wife of the President, Hajiya Dr Aisha Muhammadu Buhari is so unique on many fronts,but particularly a resounding message from Baba Sani Adamu an ex- service man,former driver to President Muhammadu Buhari both as a Military Administrator in the old Borno State and Lagos in 1964.
If not for anything,at least his recognition and promise to rehabilitate the former driver of President Buhari was enough encouragement to bounce back to life, that restored a sense of belonging to his life.
Even though,he is the least Nigerian to wish the wife of the President a ‘Happy Birthday’ at the golden age of 50, almost the same period the first family had his viral video and promptly responded to his poor plight and condition.
His inconsequential message to Nigeria first lady is the genuineness of the good intentions of President Buhari’s wife to touch the lives of the vulnerable,the downtrodden,the needy in the society.
On that faithful day last year,when the President wife was 49 unknowingly to Baba Sani Adamu in far away Borno State,she showered on him the basic necessities of life that contained food items of different shapes and cash for his immediate needs and upkeep.
She also promised after she assessed his residence through the delegate from Borno State Government and Commissioner for Women Affairs, that gave her a message of hope and assistance to rehabilitate him in the shortest possible time.
The wife of the President after due assessment of the way of life and residence of the former driver of President Muhammadu Buhari promised immediate rehabilitation of the octogenerian.
Baba Sani who was soaked in appreciation and thanksgiving said the gesture could not have come at a better time than now, when we are in post COVID-19 pandemic lockdown and it’s attendant effects.
He prayed fervently for the President’s family for more good health and longevity,and prayed specially for Mrs Aisha Buhari who remembered him at this age, and innately said ‘This woman will leave longer than me,even at 90 years.
He touched his gray hair many times,both dead in the night and early hours of the day,for more prayers and good health for Mr President and the wife.
At 50 ,the implications of Baba Sani Adamu’s prayer is that Dr Aisha Buhari will leave beyond 100 years,translating to the next 50 years.
As you clock half of the year Baba had begged Almighty God on your behalf,it is a reminder of his plight and your promises to rehabilitate Baba Sani Adamu,the former driver of President Muhammadu Buhari in Lagos in 1964 and Maiduguri as former Military Administrator of old Borno State.
