2021 LET FIX THE BROKEN CORD, THEN IT WILL PRODUCE THE RIGHT SOUND. By Moses Yusuf

The broken cord with Nigeria is the leadership fail which is a top-bottom factor in the first instance where there is an obvious lacuna in the entire leadership structure of Nigeria. The question is, who is leading who and what are the characters of those leading a population of over 180 million people?

Nigeria continues to retrogress due to our actions and docile approach to issues that confronts us as a nation. Nigeria is currently in the hands of a few cabal and not the people. Unlike other civilized nations on earth, these people are more powerful than the country and this have been put into display in countless occasions.

On the other part, the bottom-top quagmire is such that the supposed future leaders seems to be unconcerned about the deteriorating and obscure pattern by which they are being governed.

How do we fix Nigeria? I would suggest the following:

1. Overhauling the constitution to address issues of power devolution.

2. Electoral reforms

3. Citizens Rights

4. Governance.

5. Social Security

The bullet points are broken into different segments but most importantly, we must make political office financially unattractive. “Leadership is Service” – Cory Booker

The electoral reforms must address issues of electronic voting, while governance must address the overbearing influence of political office holders.

The security structure must be completely redesigned to match the modern-day security threat as it were.

Social security must have its dots connected to form the right vibes needed to advance us as a people.

In all, if we fix the leadership problem, we will have to worry less prayers and fasting.

We must fix this cord to hear the right sound.

Happy new-year
