My dear delegates,
I welcome you all to Lokoja the confluence city, having all traveled from all parts of Kogi to be a part of this epoch making primary election.
It was Uthman Dan Fodio that said “conscience is an open wound, only truth can heal it”. As you prepare to cast your votes, I want you all to vote your conscience. Do not vote for the sake of naira or dollar. Vote for the leader you trust. Vote for your conscience.
Before you go out there to cast your votes, I wish to remind you all a few things about our dear state that has necessitated my resolve to run for governor of our dear state. Our dear state is at the moment in a state of mess, the roads are holed, the infrastructures we built while in power are delapidated and the problems of insecurity, inadequate health facilities, lack of innovative ideas, youth unemployment. Our dear state is sitting on a gold mine with abundant mineral resources, but that has not translated to any economic prosperity. There is a total lack of foresight and hindsight. With all these challenges and many more, I offer my experience, my connections across the globe, my wealth of knowledge and all i have learnt all my life to rescue Kogi state that totters at the brink of an imminent collapse. It is a rescue mission from rot, ruin and total wreck.
I promise if voted to transform Kogi and bring back her lost glory within four years of my administration. I will be your leader not a dictator. I will be your be your friend not a fiend. I offer my ears for your complaints and my hands to help you. Let us all with our votes rescue Kogi from the systemic stench of corruption and the doldrums of poverty and socio- economic decay.
Walk and work with me let me guide you to a future you deserve. By God’s grace, a new Kogi state is possible! A new paradigm is here!!! Give me your votes, I will not let you down.
Prince Abubakar Audu.
May your soul continue to rest in perfect peace Baba Kogi. Mai Haske, Mai Nasara and Mai Jama’a with all proofs.
Oma-Alhaji.
