The controversial President of ICDA, Mr Sadiq Abubakar Amodu at the National Executive Council of ICDA held at SOKAM Hotel in Lokoja on the 9th of February 2020 disassociated himself from the hollow rejoinder to Ojuju Amagbadufu’s treatise on the political developments in Kogi State with emphasis on persecution of majority Igala tribe during the November 16, 2019 gubernatorial election in the State. He claimed that it was one Dr Ogbo of a so-called Emerging Leaders Forum that scripted the ill fated rejoinder and dragged his name and that of ICDA into the scam. OBSERVERS TIMES learnt that based on the denial, other members of ICDA EXCO categorically disclaimed the rejoinder and requested Mr Sadiq Abubakar Amodu to tender an unqualified apology to both ICDA and the entire Igala people for the embarrassment he and his fraudulent cohorts in have caused them.
Meanwhile the entire Igala people people are waiting for Mr Sadiq Amodu’s public apology because of the harm he has caused the Igala race by his shameless and conscienceless display.
Meanwhile, Engr Lawrence Akpa, the convener of Igala Vanguard described the ICDA rejoinder as not only shocking but equally disgusting, wondering why the Pan-Igala group has turned to anti igala group over night. He called on the Board of Trustees of ICDA to ensure that proper sanction is meted out on the so-called President of ICDA or he should be suspended immediately to restore the sanctity of the Igala socio-cultural group and calm the nerves of those that lost their beloved ones through State sponsored terror that occurred during the November 16th, 2019 gubernatorial election in Kogi State.
As for Ibrahim Omale, another Pan-Igalaist, Mr Sadiq Abubakar has not only insalted the Igala race, but also disrespected the memories of late Mrs Salome Abuh and Mallam Umoru General who hailed from Abocho as the uncanny ICDA President. It can be recalled that the late Umoru General was killed on Election Day by some fake policemen working on behalf of Kogi State Government to perpetuate Alhaji Yahaya Bello in office while Mrs Salome Abuh was shot dead by some Government thugs that burnt her to ashes where she laid dying a day after the Kogi State gubernatorial election. Many people are therefore wondering why should ICDA disgrace and embarrass Igala People further at a time that the whole world is sympathizing with them. They are therefore demanding an unreserved apology from ICDA.
Mr Ibrahim Suleiman, a respected Igala elder from
Idah town the ancestral home of the Igalas described the embattled ICDA President as a pretentious government puppet that has contributed to the current plight of Igala people in Kogi State; describing the shallow rejoinder of Mr Sadiq Abubakar in name of ICDA as being filled with criminal motives and pleaded that the entire Igala race should simply ignore him. Recall that ICDA described the Kogi State gubernatorial election of November 16, 2019 as the most peaceful election ever in the fake rejoinder; a position that contradicts the reports of both international and local election observers that rated the November 16th, 2019 gubernatorial election in Kogi State as the worse ever in Nigeria. This position was affirmed by both Office of the National Security Adviser (NSA) and other relevant agencies.
OBSERVERS TIMES had previously reported that ICDA refused to sympathize with the family of Mrs Salome Abuh who was burnt in an unprovoked post-election violence that engulfed the entire igala land. Instead, Mr Sadiq Abubakar Amodu cajoled the ICDA EXCO into organizing a reception for Yahaya Bello and his Deputy even before such a thought occurred to Alhaji Yahaya Bello’s Ebirra kit and kin. The world is taking notice of all the Igala traitors and conspirators.
